Horror Story- Completed

Releasing a breath I didn’t even know I had been holding, I plunged the dagger into her chest. Blood spilled out. She fell to the ground below her. My heart was pounding, my head was spinning. I started running. I stumbled over and my head hit the concrete. My cheek ripped open. I staggered into a run, I was sprinting. I felt like something was watching me and for a split second, I heard something move beside me. A rustle from the trees broke the silence, although barely audible. I spun around. Her body emerged towards me. A pool of blood surrounded her. Her week, fragile hand reached out and touched my cold, blood stained cheek. She smiled. Her eyes pierced right through me. I fell to the ground.
I woke up. It was 5am. The sound of my breathing filled the silence. I wondered if this had all been a dream. I tried to get up, but I couldn’t move. I looked down. There was a dagger piercing into my ribs. I could see it but I couldn’t feel anything. I looked around. There was a broken window to my right, glass shattered all over the floor. To my left was a brass, wooden door towering over me. A trail of blood led from it. Somebody knocked. The sound echoed right through the room. I tried to struggle. I had no idea what was on the other side. The night before was a blur. A part of my brain I don’t want to think about right now. The door swung open. There she was, the baby’s mother. The one who put me in this state.
She moved towards me. She was wearing a white, blood stained wedding dress. The veil ripped at the side. Her hair and makeup was ruined. She looked like she had been crying. Mascara streamed down her stone cold face. Her body was crooked. Her blood shot eyes looked straight at me. Her mouth opened. She looked like she was about to say something. I struggled free, and without her noticing I picked up the axe from the bedside table to my right. The sound of her screams echoed through the house, I hacked off her arms and legs. Her limbs fell as gravity pulled them downward. I moved beside her, passing the blood creeping slowly towards me. I slit her body into tenths and hid her in a black bin liner under the bed.
I killed my wife on the night of our wedding; and her unborn child. We had gone for a walk after the ceremony- happily in love. She told me she had some devastating news. She leaned across to me and whispered in my ear the words, “I’m pregnant” I was shocked at her mindless betrayal. She just looked at me. She apologised over and over. Her voice repeatedly ringing in my head. She had been having an affair. I was speechless. My heart was being ripped apart. I could feel the anger building up inside me. I could hear the blood rushing around in my head. I could taste the salted tears falling from my cheeks. My fists clenched together she was still just looking at me. She looked worried. I told her to come with me, that I had something to show her. I led her into the woods. That’s where it happened.
I don’t have any regrets, she deserved everything she got. She lied to me, Bella lied to me. She told me she loved me. She said; until death do us part. So I killed her- with nothing but violence and brutality. We always said we would have kids one day. But in the future, not presently. She had been seeing someone else. The worst part is she married me. She thought it would make me see things differently. The only thing I see differently now is her. I used to see her with love and happiness, but now, hatred and evil.
I walked out the room, leaving blood red footsteps behind me. I felt extremely drowsy. As I reached out to turn the door handle, I saw a needle mark on the side of my wrist. My head felt heavy and I was too tired to think. I walked a few metres and found a car, I smashed the window and jump started it. I climbed in, and started to drive. My vision went blurry. My head hit the wheel. All I could hear was the constant ringing of the horn echoing through my head. I felt as if I was dying. The thought that I had put Bella through this pain sickened me. I had nothing to do but wait. Were these my final thoughts? I lay there in mind blowing pain, Lifeless.

I sprinted across the sunshine meadow. The breeze lifted my hair. The trees danced all around me. I came to a wall and decided to climb it. I wondered what was on the other side. I could hear giggling. The sweetest voice in the world was singing, ‘What a glorious day.’ I peeped over the other side. There was a man there, the height of a gnome. His 400 year old face looked down at me. He stared into my bright blue eyes. His forehead creased and his lips pierced together. In a moment his soft, pale hands grabbed my skinny arm, and pulled me over. I was falling, the song faded. I could hear his real laugh coming out. The wind pummelled against my frail, ruby cheeks. I stopped mid-air. Frozen. I now heard screaming. Ice surrounded me. The gnome had gone.
