“How could you forget?” Screeched Kayden so violently his whole body trembled.
‘I’m so sorry, Kayden. Please forgive me; I am not worthy to be trusted with such information. If I had known that this certain letter was so important to you I wouldn’t be standing here.” Said Alex so petrified he looked as though he was going to snap any minute.
“Look at yourself, your week and truly unable to go on. I’m sorry.” Said Kayden releasing a breath he didn’t know he had been holding he pushed Alex backwards into the steaming pit of lava that was bubbling beneath them. And with that Kayden turned on his feet, and walked away as calm as he could. He had just taken life from a poor boy of his own age and it had no impact on him whatsoever.
He had a lot of explaining to do by the time he got home. Where had he been? What was he doing? And the more important things like, where is Alex? It had all started last Friday when Kayden had just received an important letter by the head teacher of St Monty mount School. The letter itself enclosed details of the school and about a meeting they were holding for the children whom would like to grasp the brilliant opportunity and take a place at the school. Kayden was a rough boy and liked his own way. One day Kayden was revising all the sums he thought he ought to learn as he was sure if not positive that they would do a surprise test after the meeting had taken place. Alex upon wondering what he was doing as they hadn’t been set any homework over the last few days asked Kayden what he was up too.
Kayden thought he could trust Alex so he told him about the school.
“This is great news! Do you think you will get in?” Exclaimed Alex with a slight tone of excitement in his voice.
“Maybe… Only if I hand in this form to say I’m coming to the meeting. Otherwise I won’t be aloud in. Do you understand?” Explained Kayden politely.
“Yes and I want to help! Shall I deliver the letter so you can get on with your work and revising?”
“Yes please, if you don’t mind. But you must make sure you don’t forget!”
“I know you can count on me!” Replied Alex loyally. And that’s how it all happened, but would you murder someone over the school you were at?
